I recommend you to do the following steps:
update your virus definitions
1= Restart your computer in safe mode
(when you restart press F8 for boot menu then select safe mode with networking)
2= logon to you pc as administrator if not as your regular user
3= now run the norton antivirus
and it will fix the issue
I also recomment to run anti Spy-ware and add-ware software
like:
Lavasoft Ad-ware SE
Spybot

let me know if you need more help

If your paid virus scanner cannot detect any virus in your system and you are sure the problem your computer is facing has got to do with virus then contact the company either by email or phone - they will be please to help you out.Sometimes you might be rewarded because new virus or viruses emerge from time to time

Visit Trendmicro and run their online virus scanner. Sometimes it will pick up stuff that Norton will miss.
