Last Thursday I woke up at 5 am feeling very nauseous, and finally I started dry heaving two hours later. I felt hot and cold and really bad so my boyfriend took me to the hospital. They took blood tests and gave me an IV with gravol. That seemed to help, so they sent me home not knowing what was wrong with me. The Dr suggested an inner ear problem, but its not Wednesday and I still feel really bad. I'm not as nauseous but I have diarrhea every day usually most in the morning, and my head is really dizzy and I feel light headed and weak. My head aches a lot, but the main thing is how dizzy I am. I really would like to know what this is. I dont have much of an appetite or anything and I'm starting to lose weight. Can anyone help me? Is this just the flu or something? Should I go to the doctor again?

I had the same feelings a few months ago. Early afternoon I felt really sick to my stomach and was dry heaving. I felt hot and cold at the same time. I didn't go to the doctor right away. But later that evening I started to have diarrrhea and actually throwing up. I had really bad headaches and not much of an appetite. I eventually went to the doctor after two days of this and it turns out I had food poisoning. The symptoms subsided after about a week. I've heard food poisoning doesn't usually last that long, but I guess if you have a bad case of it it can. If it's been a week and you are not showing any signs of feeling better at all I would definitely go back to the doctor. I hope you feel better soon!

Sounds like something my boss' daughter had, vertigo. It took them a minute to find out what it was with her too. Hope this helps you can google the vertigo and it will give you symptoms and stuff but here's a blurp to start you off

Vertigo caused by a central vestibular disorder usually develops gradually. In addition to vertigo, central vestibular disorders (e.g., stroke, migraine) may cause the following symptoms:
Double vision (diplopia)
Headache (may be severe)
Impaired consciousness
Inability to speak due to muscle impairment (dysarthria)
Lack of coordination
Nausea and vomiting
Weakness

Hope you feel better soon

It could be a million things. I would go back to the doctor- even ER if you have to- you never know- it could be something serious. Hope you feel better soon. Try to get lots of rest.

I think BabyL07 may be on to something here. My food poisoning had exactly the same symptoms and took 10 days to subside.

Get a second opinion. This sounds serious.
Best of luck to you.
