There are medications that reduce the amount of testosterone in a woman's body, so that the hair would not grow there at all. She should look into that, especially if she has to keep up with shaving it.

lol, youre funny. OMG, tell her NEVER to shave it, it will only come back course and more frequent. She should only be waxing it or threading which costs between $10-$20 depending on where you go. Threading is a process where they take an actual thread and put it under the roots of the hair and kind of shimmy it as they go along kinda like the way you use floss. For at home they have at home waxes and deplitories (cream hair removers, like Nair) for the face. But those can be kind of harsh. Best to go to a pro every two weeks, take her...your treat! ;)

Electrolosis or Laser.
It is relatively low cost options and it can kill the root of the hair. Pulling them is only temporary the same as waxing them.
Remember you have to use laser while the hair is a dark color as it wont work on blonds or gray.
Women get these facial hairs due to hereditary or hormone imbalances. Either case it is common.
A woman is always self-conscious of facial hair so a man that is understanding is great for her ego. Please do not make jokes or comments about the problem as it can just make her feel less desirable and more self-conscious about it. Tell her you love her for her not the way she looks.

Tell her to stop shaving it, that will make it grow back thicker!!!!!!! Then tell her to go and have it waxed, if she's not interested in that then try bleaching it. But waxing does the best job, and over time the hair grows back slower, and usually thinner. Plus her make up will go on smoother. Good Luck handle with care, women can be very embarrassed by this.

Are you not aware that in most of the world, a slight female mustache is considered sexy? Don't make yourself ridiculous by asking her to shave it, especially if you don't like the shaved look. If you can't accept her the way she is, you are way too insecure to have her for a girlfriend.

Do not let her shave her lip hair, it will only grow thicker! Easy solution is to wax it at a beauty salon (sorta cheap, have to do every 2-4 weeks), if not, you can invest in laser treatments, more costly but the hairs don't grow out again!

Honestly, if is okay for her to shave it. It will NOT grow back worse. Waxing may be a better option though. If it really bothers you pay for her to have lazer hair removal.

if you are rich enough, laser would be the best thing to do... it won't grow anymore and she won't have to visit beauty parlours for that..
otherwise, there are plucking, waxing, threading,, if she doesn't know how to do that, she will have to spend money monthly for this.. laser would be a good investment, life investment,, and there won't be a trace of hair on that part of her face... it would be clean,, well you'll like that!:P

Waxing should do the trick. No doctor is going to prescribe hormones to get rid of lip fuzz, not unless he want to have his license taken away.
Shaving is the worst thing to do to it.

I have, when I care enough to, I wax. But it's so slight I usually don't bother.
