Hide behind the Bible and stop paying taxes, and certainly you can't sign up for the military.

You can't just BECOME a conservative. Conservative is what you believe in. So if you find yourself agreeing with many conservatives then you're there. It depends on your definition of conservative, though. Like the first answerer said, many real conservatives are in the libertarian party now because the Republican party today is more big-government than conservatism likes. The conservatives in the Republican party are many evangelical now. Those in the libertarian party tend to be more like the conservative idealistic type.

First put your head so far up your tush you can see out your belly button. Then listen to conservative hate radio and ape the clap trap of Hannity, Limbaugh, and Coulter. Have a cold heart toward the less fortunate. Not think but walk in lockstep with the Administration of G.W.B. Borrow from your grandkids to pay for today's wars and brag you are not raising taxes. That is lesson one. Once your'e in they will give you more lessons on how to be a conservative.

Your too young to get caught up in the narrow-minded ignorance of siding with either cons or libs (Even Dems or Reps for that matter). Think for yourself rather than let some "like" thinking groups do it for you. The only change will happen in this country is if people start stepping outside of the box.

It's very simple...believe everything you were taught in Grade School and Sunday School as the end all of your existence. Do not question the authority figures in your home, your church, or your government. They know what is best for you.
Don't question or try to rationalize through things as this will only mess up what you have been taught.
Being a conservative is very easy....

Simple, register as a Republican, but only vote for those candidates who actually support conservative fiscal, domestic, and international policies.
There is nothing 'conservative' about any of the current crop of Republicans.

Hate to pay your taxes, be against everything that don't pad your own pocket and above all you have to be able to defend the worst president in the history of the United States by slamming Bill Clinton about everything. It helps to be greedy to start with.

Its a belief system. If you believe the government is responsible for your happiness, you can never be a Conservative.
It is not easy being a Conservative. We believe we are accountable for our livelihoods, and not government. Sometimes this is a difficult position to stand up for, when life seems to be throwing us lemons.
But I believe the only way to pursue happiness is for the government to leave me alone so I can pursue it.
