I am scheduled for my first LEEP next week and I'm not sure what to expect. Since it is not done in my doctor's office, instead at a hospital, does that mean that I will be put under? (I hope so). Secondly, I understand that there will be some discomfort, but do they prescribe any painkillers for the day of the surgery or after? Just trying to get some info ahead of time, and figure out if i will be aware of what is happening. Any answers are appreciated. Thanks.

Ordinarily this is done in a doctors office so not sure why you are going to the hospital. Since it isn't that big of a deal you definitely won't be sedated. It will be more like a slightly uncomfortable PAP test, you will be advised to rest for 24 hours then back to work. You should have very minimal discomfort if any that Tylenol will take care of. Relax, this is a very simple, common procedure and not one to think much about having done.

My wife had this done several years ago. Yes she was put under general anesthesia. For her it was just Tylenol and Motrin for the pain, but your Doctor may be different. Good Luck and God Bless
Also her recovery back to full activity was quick with no complications.

I had one done in 2002. I wasn't put out but it wasn't that bad..just uncomfortable. I believe I had medication prescribed to me as an antibiotic but that was it. Just some discomfort not alot of pain.

while my mom had hers performed her well being practitioner gave her a be conscious to be out for i think of a week i don't be responsive to if it replaced right into a mandatory element of if she replaced into asking to get out of artwork yet she sore yet she have been given around so till you have like a job with alot of carry or walking you will in all hazard be like a week, week and a a million/2. or you may desire to ask the well being practitioner for 2 and take a while to your self. good success and God Bless
