My periods are about 30-33 days apart. I am now on day 35 I should have started no later than the 26th of February. My last period was on January 23rd. I took a test yesterday and the day before and had the same result where the pink dye stayed in the background of the test and then where the first line was was a much darker pink and the second line was a very very very light pink but there was still the pink dye in the background of the test. I have quite a few symptoms of being pregnant but my doc. won't take me until I am 2 weeks late so I still have some time left. I have been having moderate back pain, SUPER sore nipples and boobs my right boob on the side feels super sensitive. My nipples feel like they tingle sometimes and they have gotten more full which none of these symptoms are usual pre period symptoms for me. But the one thing that is throwing me off is my cervical position I mean it is in a medium position and is a little hard but slightly open

and I have always thought that if you were pregnant the cervix should be closed. So all of this is confusing me greatly. I am not stressing about it seeing as I just realized I missed my period or didn't get it on the 26th when it should have come so I haven't been thinking about it but when I did start thinking about it I remembered about how bad my boobs hurt and so on. So if anyone could give some advice on this I would greatly appreciate it a lot

It was one of the dollar store pregnancy tests two of them came out the same and I have taken them before and never had this result using only four drops of urine and no more than that so I don't think I am saturating the test in any way I am doing exactly what the test instructions are telling me

Sounds like maybe you over saturated the test with urine and thats why the pink dye stayed that way.....take another test and urinate in a cup and dip the test for about 10-15 secs....but if you could see a faint line in the test area then its probably positive....not too sure about the cervix positioning...I never felt mine during my pregnancies, not sure I would even be able to tell lol....but sounds like you have the symptoms so I would just re-test and be sure not to saturate it with too much urine....Good Luck!

PS Try another brand of test..maybe the ones you had were defective...it does happen...

It may be because you are saturating the test with your urine, try dipping it in a cup for about 10 seconds. Usually if their is a second line no matter how faint it is, it is still a positive. You could try waiting another week as well and take another test. All the symptoms you are describing are all typical pregnancy symptoms..
As for the cervical matter, When your pregnant your cervix will stay high and open.
I hope you get what you have been wanting
Good luck!

I think you should wait a couple of days before trying to test again. The instructions always tell you the test is so sensitive to the HCG-hormone you can even take it during the daytime and all that stuff, but it is possible you are pregnant and your body just hasn't produced enough of the hormone to make the test tell you you're pregnant.
All the symptoms are there, but I'm afraid I can't tell you the cervical position during pregnancy. All these books and the net only tell you how it should be before you're pregnant, but they never say anything about how it will be when you're actually pregnant!
