The honest truth. America has had it too good for too long.

All of us feel on the surface (in our conscious mind) that we want life to be easier. That is why we are constantly trying to invent things that are more and more convenient. That is why we pushed nature out of the way and relegated it to small enclosed zoos and state parks. It is easy enough to see that everything we do is geared toward making life simple (by making everything else do the work).

But this doesn't work. Whether you believe in evolution or creation, we weren't designed to live the easy life. If God created us, we screwed up and this is punishment geared toward redemption. In which case God made us to need the struggle so that we could survive without Him being in charge. So we could survive Satan's foolishness until God's plan of redemption came to fruition.

If we evolved, we learned to struggle because that is how we survived in the natural world. You didn't rest for a second; because if you did you'd either starve, or you'd be eaten by one of the many predators out there looking for a meal. Millions of years of evolution cannot be undone in the just over 200 years America has been around.

But now we've got it fairly easy. It seems tough, but in reality having to get up every morning at 6:30 to go to work for 8 hours is nothing compared to dodging lions and catching deer with bows and arrows. We've gotten rid of the real struggle, but that is precisely what we need to feel "alive." And so we decide the time has come to recreate a struggle.

So we go to wars, or politics, or backstabbing among coworkers, or even among family members. We give rise to serial killers and dictators. We hate these things as they are, but what we don't realize is that is what we needed. They are what provide the struggle that keeps us going. What you ask is what is wrong with America; I tell you that what's wrong with America is what is going to keep it going as long as we don't let the failure in the system take over. If you let these things take over America will fall. Don't get rid of them, don't ever get rid of the failings--to do so would be the collapse of the overall system. Just don't let them take over and America will survive.

People voted GW Bush in to office twice..I did not vote for him NEVER!!!

America is ok, we are strong, the economy is good, could be better...We are still the world power....and maybe that is the problem, but I love this country and there is no better..So I would live in the US now over any other country...and who ever does not feel this way should go some where else...

GOD BLESS THE USA and May god be with our troops and come home soon...

Nothing is wrong with America. The fact that our leadership is lacking these days gives others a sense of insecurity and make them want to not like us doesn't make America or Americans have anything wrong. America is still the greatest country ever on Earth and others still want to come here we just need a regime change so we can show the world who we really are.

What's wrong with our country is that we have strayed from our heritage as a moral people. Please don't misunderstand my meaning. I don't care if a person attends church, or has a beer, or ets a divorce, etc...I'm talking about the "If it's good for me, it's good, period" mentality. Whether or not it's PC to say so, there are still such things as right and wrong.
