I bought mine so I could go anywhere in the house and garden and still be on line.
Other people buy them for their business. It's much easier taking a laptop to a client rather than a desktop.

Because they like to travel with the laptops in the long distance car/bus/airplane/train for creating the scrapbooks/albums, reading books and what the people saying, writing the documents from/to the disks and of course, playing the microsoft games.

I used to build my own PCs, but it got too much trouble. I bought a laptop which is smaller, lighter, uses less power than the old one, and can be used in more than one room. I also don't have to worry about whether the parts I fitted will be compatible, and it came with a warranty.

Because they're idiots. If you, as a part of the biosphere can't function away from home without a computer, you're an idiot. Animals don't need computers...neither do we. Go outside and throw a ball or something for god's sake.

they're easy to carry - when you're doing a presentation in PowerPoint, for example. My dad is a DJ, but he plays all of his music from a laptop computer when he does his DJ work as well. This way, he doesn't have to carry around twenty binders of CDs.

they are portable, eg dont need to be ran from the mains, can be taken anywhere. lightwieght etc..laptops are mainly used for business people.
