I believe that would be Diane Carroll who starred in her show JULIA in 1968. The very first black comedy not promoted as a pop culture icon is Amos and Andy from the 1950's

Not sure the name of the person but it is the same person that did "All in the Family" you know Achie Bunder and Meat Head He did Jefferson and that was the first
