I lived in oklahoma for five years and I was beaten, harrased, threatened, Told I was going to burn in hell because I talked to catholics, and plenty more. And none of it from either my parents or people my own age.

Obviously you've never been to Maryland. Go there (especially the Salisbury area) and the Oklahomans will look normal to you.

P.S. Tip: Stay far away from biker bars in the Gaithersburg area if you know what's good for you.

In my opinion, you've just met the wrong people. I live in Oklahoma and I'm no freak! True, we do have some strange characters here and there..but every state does. The majority of people here in Oklahoma are kind, loving, giving people. I'm proud to be from a state where everybody helps out when they're needed and people truly care about each other.

I would say that you have met the wrong people from Oklahoma. I'm from Oklahoma and I'm far from scary. It's true that there are some scary people here but there are scary people from every state.
