3 weeks late, negative hpt's...help?

Question

I am now a little more than 3 weeks late for my period, and I have taken many (at least 3 or 4) hpt's that have shown up negative. I have never been this late for my period in my life (the most I've been late is probably about a week). My boyfriend and I have had unprotected sex for about 5 months now. I am not under any unusual amounts of stress, and I have not changed my diet. I have no signs that I am going to start my period anytime soon (usually I cramp and my breasts are tender), but at the same time I haven't had any pregnancy symptoms either. I have had some white/clear discharge and the sides of my stomach are sore sometimes and I keep getting random mood swings. I don't know what's going on because it is a definite possibility I am pregnant because my boyfriend and I don't use any type of protection, but I don't understand why the tests are negative!

I do not want to scare you but i am recovering from emergancy surgery right now (i am 3 weeks post opt tom) from an ectopic pregnancy i was 3 weeks late and all the hpts showed neg and the 1 the dr did showed neg,but the blood work showed me at almost 8 weekks along and it turned out to be a tubal on my lt side and i lost everything on the left.You should really go be checked by your Dr asap.It could be a million other things also but its better to be safe than sorry good luck

Its time to speak with a doctor. It is probably normal and the more you think you may be pregnant, the less likely you will be to have that period. It won't hurt to see the doctor and if you are pregnant, you need to know. I had several negative tests in the first few weeks of my first pregnancy, it happens.

Girl this is happening to me but I'm on wk two of hpt, and I'd be just making 5 wks if I was pregnant. I also have an infection I think maybe a UTI I dunno, so this Friday I'm going to the Dr. for tons of test to see if I'm prego and have a UTI or whats up with me! Goodluck! You should call your dr also.
Your having mood swings too? I don't even notice mine, until my boyfriend pointed it out twice that I jumped at him for no reason, adn this time he was actually right. It 's confusing huh, well goodluck go to the dr!!please!!

blood test aren't always a good test mine was negitive and i was pregnant..... my problem was though that with both of my pregnancy's i was on birthcontrol....... you're three weeks late?? well wait another week then get the first response home pregnancy test and take it first thing in the morning when you go to the bathroom the first time of the day and if it's nevitive you might have something else wrong and you need to talk to your doctor if that happens........ and if you're pregnant then get an appointment with an ob/gyn and take it from there....... good luck and best wishes........

Same thing happened to me...I was regualr like clockwork. I went for a bloodtest and it too was negative. I talked to my Dr and she said it is common to actually miss a period...news to me as this was the first time...sure enough my period showed up on time the next month...a little heavier than usual because I had missed one.

The cheaper kind of pregnancy tests take about 4 weeks to show positive. For me it took 4 weeks to show atleast. Or you might not be pregnant. Go to the doctor.

if the test is negative then u are not pregnant,some other cause might be delaying ur periods

or maybe you have to many things on your hands & tharts why
your late on it
