I am an Indian guy who is currently living in America. By nature, I am a sweet-type character. Back in India the girls I tried to approach and tell them that I loved them, would laugh and mock at me for being a nice guy. When I came to America, the Black and Hispanic women have treated me the same way. But when I met White women, things were totally different - I found that whites are ore respectful of a person and white women judge a person for who he really is on his inside. I have dated or hung out with white women.

But when my friends found out that I was getting involved with White women, they immediately jumped down my throat and criticized me saying that I am an idiot, hypocrite for "choosing" white women over my own race, blah blah blah...

What the heck is wrong with these people? If a woman of my own race would accept me for my inner character and intelligence, instead of discriminating me for being a "small guy", then I would date them too. Then why are they so judgmental?

They aren't being unfair, they are simply blaming you for their own problems. People tend to criticize others for the problems which most strongly plague their own lives, if only to express their inner concerns about themselves in a safe way (not threatening their own self-image).

When people mention race, they are racist, and I would caution their your own perception of white women not be generalized, because there are a great many others who are very superficial, judgmental, and "unfair." Fact is that many cultures promote racism, and stereotyping, and exclusive dating within the race, while others discourage these practices/philosophies. I'm sure that you will find much more accepting Indian women in multi-cultural crowds/venues. Racial isolation is another evidence of racism, which in turn yields negative judgment/less understanding toward those who are different from them.

Why are people like this? It is easy to be accepted by those who are similar to you, and this is the safe, yet also unenlightened and undesirable, path. Don't take their judgments personal, and accept that they are quite as good friends as you might have imagined. Smile, express firm confidence in your decision, and tell them that they are seriously missing out.

Don't listen to anyone else, if it makes you happy to date a white woman, date a white woman. As long as you are true to yourself is all that matters. People are idiots and are always going to be super judgemental, regardless of your race, gender, or even sexuality. It's something I'm trying to accept, it's hard being hated or having be mean to you for your prefencers, but do what is right for you. Good luck!

You are your own person, you can "choose" to be with whoever you want. Nobody else's opinion matters when it comes to your personal life. If you like the company of white women more than other races, then that is your own business. Your friends are just looking out for you, but I personally don't think it's their place to really be involved.

There is an old saying your true friends are people whio know how you really are and like you anyways, but also if both people that are in the relationship is not willing to toward the relationship then it won't last. so there coudl be another reason that they the ones that are telling you this is because it is a possibilty that they might be jealous.

I know exactly what you are talking about. White women do have that awesome characteristic of looking deeper. Me being a white male, I have also met many and know what you are speaking of. Just keep doing what you do, you have to know that your friends are obviously racist, and if they don't want what's best for you, what kind of friends are they?
