A wide variety of foods. Turkey, mashed potatoes, ham, ribs, chicken, soups, stews, steak, seafood, salads, sandwiches, mac and cheese, and many other main dishes. Also, she made many good desserts including cobblers, pies, brownies, cakes, and cookies.

My parents are both excellent cooks....
They taught each other....then they taught me the moment I was able to reach the counter tops.(I grew up to be a Chef of 17 years)
This way they could spend less time in the kitchen and more in the bedroom.
Momma introduced her Midwestern American cuisine...and daddy brought his Northern Italian Style cooking to the family table so I have so many incredible memories...food was a sincere passion in our household...and remains so in mine.

My Mom cooked meat and two veg dinners.Usually it was a pork chop with beans and potatoes or chicken with carrots and roast potatoes.Sometimes we would have cold meat and salad

wen my mother was a mother, we had 3 course meals and homemade desserts. she made everything from scratch and nothing the same. Meat, starch, veg, dessert... and it was health with flavor. sometimes we would even have breakfast for dinner. the good old days!

Well, my Dad always said Mom could burn water. Dad cooked on weekends--chili, goulash, great breakfast, grilled steak & burgers ;-)
