They NEVER lie. Work hard but do it pleasure.
You can also get federal aid. Also don't get a $50,000 loan. Libs do that all the time and get screwed and then they blame others!
Get small loans and balance with a good job. Try to work hard and have 1-2 jobs and do it well.
When I came up in the world as a good hard working Conservative, I worked overnight (some nights) at a major retail store + acted as pizza delivery guy. I would make an average of 200 dollars a day.
Then when I entered the workforce, I saved a lot and budgeted my money (instead of spending like the libs say we do). I paid back my loans in 3 years.
But remember, don't be lazy. Stop complaining. Work hard but do it with passion and pleasure.

We pay for our kids college and all their expenses until they graduate. We had as many kids as WE could afford and I don't expect the Gov. to pay their way. We do.
They have a lot of friends who get FAFSA - don't know what that is - loan or grant - but it's for people who can't afford college.
I have a son who was born in 1987 and after this semester he will be a Junior - on his way to a Law Degree. You have to START with a good work ethic and ambition. Just the money will get you nowhere.
WHY SHOULDN'T YOU pay your loans back? That is the bizarre thinking of a liberal. Thinking they are owed a college education and don't have to be personally responsible.
** If you live at home and go to a community college AND have a job. You shouldn't even have to take out loans. If you work at places like Blockbuster and Home Depot - they have scholarship opportunities. Check into that.

Because it is easy to get a better job. You are currently working at Burger King. Take advantage of their training to show potential new employers your abilities to multi task and handle money. A better job is not going to fall into your lap, you may have to apply for several before you even get an interview.
And just because one person told you college of free does mean you can make the leap and label every Conservative based on that one comment. Still, even if you had to take out student loans in a way it can be looked at as free.
The Avg High School Graduate makes around $32k per year
The Avg 4 year College Graduate make over $60k per year
If you have to take out $80k in student loans you can easily pay them off over 4-5 years through the expected increase in pay now that you have the skills to look for a high paying career oriented job(unless you blow your increased pay on buying tons of junk prior to paying your loans off). If you work hard in school and pay some of your tuition instead of getting loans for all of it that makes it that much easier to pay off.

You could apply to a historically-black college and get a minority scholarship if you're white. I'm not joking. You could also get a public sector job like teacher after you graduate, and there may be forgiveness of your student debt. Seriously, if you are willing to look, you can find these things.
As for me, the good ol' GI Bill paid for my schooling. And my jobs just keep paying more. And I'm a conservative. Good luck!

College is not free, though there are some grants out there that you can get that do not have to be paid back. It's not easy to get a better job, you have to keep working at it. I held two jobs ad went to college, it was the only way to do it! uh..I am a republican so don't lump us all together!

Nobody said college is free, nothing is free and why should it be. Take the energy that you expel on whining and put it to good use. I am from a family of eleven and my father was disabled. My mother worked two jobs. Several of us have worked and gone to college...paid our own way working at crap jobs. Grow up. You want it free. It ain't gonna happen.

I know nothing about you other than your own post that you are 18 and working at Burger King.
If you are happy there, then stay there. But you do not seem happy, with your continual posts about the unfairness of life.
So if you are unhappy with things, you have to take responsibity and change them. School is a good start. I don't know about free, because nothing worth having ever is. But you can fill out a FAFSA form and qualify for whatever grants and student loans are out there to qualify for, and there are many.
And yes, student loans must be repaid. It's one of the reason I cannot stand socialism. I must repay my student loan debt, and all I see, all day long, is liberals wanting to deprive me of the income I need to repay those loans.
And, no offense to you, but as a business-owner, my work never is complete, time off is never without work, and the stress is all mine to worry about my employees. And why should you get the same pay?

No lying going on here. No one said it is easy but if you really want to make more money and pay off those loans you will stick with it until you accomplish this goal. If you do not want to do this then you have a problem. LIfe is not served up on a silver platter.

If you are happy with your current situation - good for you. But don't whine that you can't afford college - anything worth having is worth working for. If you want an education & a better job, then work towards it.
