How come it always says : "Hispanic or Latino - a person of Mexican, Puerto Rican, Cuban, Central South America, or other Spanish culture or origin, regardless of race" and Dominican is not on there, but Cuban and Puerto Rican is? It makes it seem like they don't consider us Hispanic or Latino.

Don't answer the race question. It is a social construction, and I personally find it wrong to classify myself as one race. I'm 50% Chilean and 50% Caucasian so should I check White (non-Hispanic) or Hispanic (non-Caucasian)?

Anyways, race tries to separate peoples as if for example Whites and Blacks were different biologically. We are all the same inside and just came from different places in the world (different ethnicities).

Race is just what is defined socially at the time. For example, when Italians and Irish immigrants were coming to the US in the early 20th century, Italian and Irish were both considered distinct, separate, primitive races. Now, Italian and Irish are not found on the available races to check.

They probably have the race question to be PC so on their records they can claim 5 Caucasians, 2 Asians, 2 Hispanics... work there.

It sounds like they're just covering those people they see the most--they don't think you're not Hispanic, just that Cubans, Puerto Ricans, etc. are more common.

Dude give it a break..it's a job application, most of them just say Asian..do you see Indians, Chinese, Japanese, and Philipino people screaming that their individual race is not on there. if you ignore stupid things like this..race is not an issue.

First of all, there should be no "Hispanic or Latino" option, that's ridiculous.
