If you would specify which religion and denomination you prefer, this would help to elicit more specific answers. A good Mosque or Temple or Cathedral may provide very different spiritual experiences.

I'm from Miami and I am not familiar with the area but I can give you some advice on the church you should look for. First all I want to congratulate you for choosing to learn the Word and for wanting Jesus in your life. The only thing you should remember is that everything the pastor tells you should be backed by a verse in the Bible. Always take your Bible with you, for that is the Word of the Lord and everything (literally) is in there. God Bless You

I go to church in Edmond, but have heard a lot of good things about Journey Church. My brothers go there and love it.
