omg i just have to tell u these "The Interview" lyrics i found on a site dont seem correct cuz i just looked in AFI's cd case thing and according to that its wrong lol. (check for ur self lol... http://www.lyricsmansion.com/result/104030 )
any ways here is my answer to this question.
~i dont know i just read the correct lyrics and i guess this song kinda sounds like it could mean a few dif. things. its obviously written by Davey kinda about Davey lol.... i guess in the end of the song the last lyrics "I flee to decemberunderground, As you exhale I breathe in the waterunderground and i'll grow pale without you" it seems like he is saying he will die with out a certain person or he will die alone... but in the beginning of the song the lyrics "forever waiting for disaster what David called servant and master. will you play it too?" i guess kinda means or could mean maybe he felt he was being controlled by one person or thing..... and would someone else or other people let themselves be controlled by that thing or person too.
Wow idk if my guess was right about this song.... but i think it was a good guess im proud lol. tho i just like chopped this song up lol i think its an amazing song tho!!! (and i think i am gonna enter the CORRECT lyrics to that site.... lol)
is my guess of what this song could be about kinda like what you would have guessed? (since no one knows for sure except the artist himself)

Seems to me like he is offering an interview of himself (or interviewing himself). Talking about his hope & fears & feelings in a very obscure manner.

Well, I don't know the actual meaning, but I believe Davey wants you to interpret the song and find out what it means to you. It obviously means something to him, and that's what I'd believe he'd want us to think.
