of fear or embarassment and you did something extraordinary for India? When was the last time you did something good for someone else without caring about your own profit????I am not asking this question to get the whole story you made up just to get the 2 points but to make you realise of your surroundings today.People want to run away from or just complain about the problems we face today but noone would even care to think of a solution to them.History is repeating itself in the form of Brain Drain Once Again. But noone gives a damn because they like calling it development and praise it throughout the day. We need to open our eyes and see all the crap that is going around us. It's just that the crap is gift-wrapped in golden paper and with our eyes shut we cant really figure out whether the inside or the outside is shining.Stop complaining,Start planning.Stop cursing,Start helping.Wake up to the rude reality and change it into what you dreamt of it to be.Believe in yourself, INDIAN

Right!!! Stop cursing... Start planing and start performing...

True that a hell lot of people complain about petty issues with the country. Also very few actually push in some efforts which could benefit the country. No matter how small your effort is, you gotta work it out. It doesn't even cost you. One can always try and prevent using palstic bags, prevent pollution, spread awareness, donate blood, maintain the cultural and social harmony, behave properly with people around you, respect everyone, etc. These things won't cost you atl all. People who can afford to do more can definitely make physical, or monetary contributions to few social service organizations.

I personally always take care 'no cost' issues. And whenever I feel I can afford to, I make rather small but significant contributions towards the downtrodden around me by educating them about hygeine, health issues, literacy, etc.

All the best friends...

:-)

i became patriotic on the twenty sixth March 2011. i became on the Millenium Stadium, gazing Wales v England for the Euro 2012 qualifiers. I did sing the nationwide Anthem, which gave me goosebumps. I were given to admit notwithstanding, that in both nationwide anthems, the opposing supporters did boo. there turned right into a lot extra appreciate in a rugby international that I attended on an similar stadium. i love the Welsh nationwide Anthem, yet also there's a Welsh hymn observed as 'Calon Lan' which all Welsh rugby supporters comprehend all about.

Well, I am happy and proud to be an Indian and it is still happier to see people's showing response with patriotic thoughts.

Your question just pushes my ideas still further towards partiotism. I am now realising that it is not worth just hoisting flags yearly twice and salute the leaders and take holidays to relax.

After much thought, i take this oath that every year atleast once i will do some service to the nation / mankind before saluting the flag.

(a group of my friends already run an unregistered club, by just spending some money to poor children on assistance to their education)

I would rather emphasise the need for doing our duty. It is true that mere complaining does no good to improve the situation. We need to keep doing things in the right manner. We must lead our life in such a manner as to set that as an example for others. No point in hero worshipping the icons; rather we would do well to do ourselves the heroic things. Let India prosper as a country of heroes rather than of hero-worshippers.

I have worked in the interior villages of Tamilnadu, visiting women in their small small huts and given them awareness about hygeine and health.
I have motivated them to form Self Help Groups, and taught them Entreprenurial skills,so that they can start micro-enterprises, and become economically independent. So that they earn extra income and feed themselves and their children and afford to give bettr education to their children.
Thus build better communities and live in better conditions.
So that they can have self respect and self dignity.
They in this way become empowered and contribute to the income growth of the country.and not be a burden to the Government for their survival.
So that India can have healthy and educated people and wipe out poverty and illiteracy.
I have taught in Government Corporation schools free, to help children, so that they do not fail.
I have worked in the slum areas ,holding awareness camps, teaching them hygeine and nutrition and awareness on AIDs.
I have counselled boy's parents not to take dowry from the girl's parents.
I have worked in the TSUNAMI areas-- Cuddalore, Kokilamedu and Karrikattakuppam, (the last 2 names are of villages on the sea-shore of Mahabalipuram). I have helped in rehabilitation of these villages.
I have counselled youth, about the ill-effects of drugs.

My passion is to improve the living conditions of the underpreviliged and to empower women and youth, to build better communities for a good democratic society and a better Nation.
