yeh man its totally the thing to do... i think the americans are used to this sort of thing but here in britain its quite a new trend. personally im extremely bored of hearing about how hard these celebs have got it when they havent got a clue what a hard life is. they all need to get the hell over themselves do like amy winehouse - "no no no!" x

The only reason it's such a big issue is because the lives of these people are publicised. Think of how many "normal" individuals need to go into rehab of some sort..yet we don't hear about them.
I think the life of a celebrity is so pressured, unrealistic and often isolating that it makes them turn to dangerous ways of coping-drugs,eating disorders even suicide attemps etc. When you can have anything you want, you look for better and often more dangerous ways to get "thrills"...unfortunately most these ways are so addictive.
I don't think anyone no matter how much publicity they get really want their 'shortcomings' all over the news and papers, but it's the price they pay for fame. I'm sure there are a few who have done it simply to seek attention (possibly) but at the end of the day i think good on them for getting the help they need and why shouldn't they?

I don't think it's nesscary the "new thing" ..it's not a fashion assecory but more just a symbol of the world we live in today.

It seems if you want to be more in the public eye you go to the rehab - I for one would not wish illness on anybody - but these celebs are another thing - they need to get a grip and come back to the real world - they would surely snap out of it if they were on average or low incomes - they do so need to get real.

No....they been doing it forever...it was hip to get sober back in the 80's after the coke binge of the 70's we all got healthy and sober...then one by one begin relapsing, Mel and Robin both had about 20 years clean when the relapsed...I went thru rehab in 95...I think today celebs are using it as an excuse for bad behavior..their giving us true drunk and addicts a bad name..= )

Rehab has been around forever but what you will find is if one celeb goes in they all try and out do each other and everyone starts signing in with all their weird and wacky problems.

Oh no darling, rehab is SO last week. This week it's about changing your hair colour and playing board games.
