Alcohol will not be served to anyone under 16.
I live in greece and the laws are not strict. Unless you're 12 and asking for a whiskey, dont worry you'll be fine.
have a brilliant holiday

The legal drinking age is 18. Some places though have it as 17. Although this is the legal age, almost no place follows the law. You can go and buy a drink if you are 13. I've seen it.

I believe it is 17 - anyway, unless you look like 12 - no one will ask for an ID, especially in a place like Faliraki (which is the only place any person should avoid on Rhodos). But I guess at 18 you would not be interested to indulge to other activities on the island, so in any case, party well (and as someone already advised you, beware of the drinks they serve, some are not really drinkable). And try not to do things you wouldn't dare do in England - the last years, because of a lot of negative publicity - the authorities try to reinforce order to the tourists.

I'm from Greece. Is legal for children to have alcohol by the age of 18. But this is not very applicable. Most children can have alcohol even when they are just 15y old. I'm in that age and if I lie I can buy alcohol without conciquences.

Greece 17 Rarely enforced, except in certain chain restaurants (which have self proclaimed a 17 year old minimum drinking age). No legal age for drinking in private.

Nobody will ask you for an id either way. Have a nice time and drink as much as you can handle (make love not war etc, etc). legal limit is 17 but you can vote at 18 !!!(no sober person would vote).
PS watch what you drink, some bars serve cheap and bad alchool, buy some of your own boose at a super market.

as it is well known for Leonarda, i am form Rhodes, and I have said it here. The average is 18 years, but in Greece unfortunately the laws are not so much respected
Concerning Faliraki, it is not a very nice place in the night especially for families, but for young people yes,.
No, I dont htink there is control there. The proff is that especially British young people they dont behave themselves, and nobody is controlling.I hope they got stricter rules because the situation was so bad..by the way dont forget to visit the different places of my island, and of course dont miss Lindos, where the night life is perfect, and also it is one of the most beautiful places of Rhodes.
