Why do so many people hate this? What are they scared of?

Many people in society are ignorant of the real world around them... There is jealousy/prejudice within a race against the "outsider", which to them would be the partner not of their race, or the "half-breed" product of them. They will find this on BOTH sides. NOT from everyone, but it's there. WHY???
I realize that people will fall in love with a person; not their color. The only concern to me is will their love endure the additional stress this will bring to their relationship. How will their children? There are cruel people on ALL sides...
Also, they have different cultural and traditional backgrounds. Just MORE things to adjust to. They just have to look at themselves realistically and know if they can handle it all in the name of love... It takes a LOT MORE than love to Endure To The End! They need to make an even stronger effort and commitment toward each other... stand by your partner against family, friends, and strangers in a kind way to help educate them. Don't let your partner feel alienated... It CAN work!!! ; )
To those with a problem... GIVE them a BREAK! They have enough challenges to face without your prejudice!
This is what I always tell my kids,
"You worry about YOU! That;s ALL you need to be concerned about..." ; )

Some people cling to their prejudices like life rafts. Just as with interracial marriage, in twenty years when gay marriage is common, there will still be those who think its disgusting. Some folks just never evolve past the bigoted teachings of their childhood. To me, when I come across someone who is openly racist, it tells me they need to look down on others to feel important about themselves. I guess no one ever explained to them that the real way to self-respect and self-love is education and an open mind - hatred for others makes those two things nothing but a false way to prop themselves up as above someone, ANYONE, so they feel good about themselves as well as important.

Nothing wrong with it all. I personally have only dated guys of other races. However some people are closed minded and don't want to open up their hearts nor their minds to what is different. What a pity for them

People who worry about a silly thing like a color are very ignorant!!!!!!! there is no big deal. this generation has no problem wit it. its only old people who think that there race is suppreme, and dont want to mix. and teach their children this ****.. BREAK THE CYCLE!! BE DIFFERERNT that is what is country and world is all about. melting pot. change. LOVE WHO EVER YOU WANT. COLOR IS JUST A COLOR, NOT A PERSONALITY TRAIT.

There is always going to be somebody against ANYTHING that you do. I don't let people's opinions of me or what I do effect me AT ALL. Love who you love. Have your preference if you choose, but the heart dictates who you love, not the world. I am engaged to a beautiful Black man, but I have dated:
beautiful White, Latin, Jewish AND Middle eastern men.

Those people have problems what is wrong for a mexican going out with a black girl or a black dude going out with a white girl the only thing that matters her looks and Character of a human being

When you are young you are not able to understand your mind and so the older ones are afraid for you... You see all are equal but there is only one who is right for you!
Now if the older ones had "love" to show you and so then knew you would chose love because you knew it. Then there would be no fear. However they know you don't know what "love" is they know you can be fooled! A good parent teaches "love" through all their actions.

It's a tough way to go, simply because ignorant people exist. That's the only issue. There is NOTHING wrong with interracial couples, and anyone who says otherwise is severely misinformed.

I dont think theres anything wrong with it but people are scraed of things being diffrent like when my aunt was young she was forced to give her baby up because he was black and she was white and it was considered wrong . the best thing to describe it is the film save the last dance

I agree with ya... I dont have a problem with dating a diffrent race. \
My dad on the other hand WOW he always told me if I dated a black man or had a baby by one he would disown me and I would never be allowed to come around again,.. BLAH BLAH...
