Because MSN already scans all e-mails before they are delivered to you, there is no need to virus scan them. Unlike Outlook, which copies all e-mails to your computer, the MSN e-mail resides on the MSN servers. So you can not scan it. It is not on your computer. So they scan it for you.

If you get an e-mail with an attachment, rather than opening the attachment, you can download it to your computer and then virus scan it there before opening it.

There is one problem with that
Outlook has problems with Synchronizing with MSN or HOTMAIL. that is your first task.
