Sweet heart everything on t.v. is programmavble! You need to put in closed captioned , the computer everything is readable! Iam deaf too and close captioned is a blessing ,I also have a captel phone , loaned from the state of Florida that types to me everything the other person is saying , and so my hearing is seen! Hugs.

There is Closed Captioning on computers for the deaf
the first thing you should do is find out what operating system you have (XP+ Has that ability defaulted)
Next if you are using Windows media player you should Update it and then you will have the ability to See closed captioning.
Next if that is not the problem i think that the only other thing to do it to get the Sonic DVD Kit it does it all Including Closed captioning.

Most people do not use computers for watching video. Computers is mainly for reading.

News online is from TV. When they capture video from TV, they need to turn on closed caption. People who are not deaf don't like it.

I hope in the future, they have better programs/software to do that.

It is frustrating that none of the online sites offer captioning.
