is there a way to transfer ALL my files and settings from 1 hd to another and be able to boot from the new....

You could use Norton Ghost to create a duplicate image of one hard drive over to another. But keep in mind that any software issues you had prior to the ghost will also be transferred.

Use software called image for windows, it will copy the partition from one drive to the other.
