If Bertuzzi gets completely healthy, you can put it in stone: The Red Wings are the 2007 Stanley Cup Champs.

No...and I have a feeling Bertuzzi wont even dress for the playoffs. Calder is prolly the more entincing pickup as he has great hands and the added physical elements Detroit sorrilly lacks. But even still I dont think with Bertuzzi in the lineup the Wings will have the depth to compete in a hard fought 7 game series against a much improved deeper Western conference. If anything can be said for the Cap it has made for some parity in the league at least amongst the top 10 in each conference. That is until it continues to escalate and isolate and the richer teams start to buy more and more once again.

He definately makes the team better. Our second line looks a lot better now than it did a few days ago. We have the hottest 1st line in the league, great defense, and the best playoff-proven goalie in the west. J.S. had that one spectacular playoff run when they went to the finals, but he hasnt been the same since (although hes doing well this year). If we meet Anaheim in the playoffs, the Lang, Calder, Bertuzzi line is going to force at least Pronger to matchup against them because of how big and physical they are, and therefore leaving more openings for Hank, Pav, and Homer. Although San Jose isnt the best in the league, I think they are the team most capable of beating Detroit. Idealy, I would like to see Nashville and San Jose meet in the first round because they're our two biggest threats. Turco has had problems in the playoffs and has a long history of losing to Detroit, so I dont think Dallas will be a problem. A lot people say that Datsyuk chokes in the playoffs, and I'll admit thats been fairly accurate in the past, but a guy with that much talent isnt going to go his whole career without having success in the playoffs. I wouldnt say Detroits the hands-down favorite, but we have as good as a chance as anyone else.

Devils and Red Wings in the Stanley Cup Finals. Getting that jerk Bertuzzi makes the Red Wings tougher, which helps greatly in the playoffs so they don't get pushed around by the more physical teams.

Good Luck but Bertuzzi is too undisiplined, just look at some of the playoff games with the Canucks. He takes way too many stupid penalties at the worst possible time. If he gets over that then he will help Detroit, but Anaheim and Dallas are much deeper and physical and should outmuscle the wings with Bertuzzi.
I doubt he even plays though, the guy has a history of packing it in.

No, Bertuzzi is still hurting, and he's not very good with the other players, I mean who can trust the guy, right? He is not liked much by many players. Detriot may make it to the cup, but if they do, the Sabres beat them in six.

bertuzzi has only played in 7 games this year because of back surgery. so won't make much of an impact in detroit. detroit probably wont go very far in the playoffs. either nashville, anaheim,
tampa bay or buffalo will win it. i'll tell you this, dont expect a rematch between carolina and edmonton!

No way, what's he done this year? Not much, the Wings will find a way to choke, old man Hasek can't carry a team anymore, no more Shanny, no chance in hell, too many good teams in the west, remember Edmonton last year? You wings fans are like Yankee fans, you don't see reality.

i'd say they have a great chance. there my pick for the west. they're a great tema with good offense and defense, and good goaltending. i hope that in the finals it'll be devils vs. red wings...wouldn't that be fun. but it'svery possible. NJ is only two points behind detroit...so it could happen
