No period, because your uterus will be gone. You may have slight pms symptoms, but not like before. I have my left ovary and I still notice my breast get sore when its supposed to be my time.*

No, you will not get your period. You may get pms, like cramping or a bloated feeling when you previously had your period. Since your body will be going through drastic changes. The reason, your doctor is leaving your ovaries in tack, is called a partial hysterectomy, is that you will not have to take hormone pill for the rest of you life.

I have been through 2 Hysterectomies, 1 partial where they just removed the Uterus and a second 2 years later where they removed the overies etc. That was because my problem stemmed in the overies. (Ovarian cycts) Are you having a partial? Just the Uterus out? If you still hold onto your overies but no Uterus you will no longer get periods but the good thing is you still ovulate so you dont', in most cases, have to go on hormone replacement. My own feeling is that it was the best thing I could have done for myself ...no more pain. Recovery is long but there is a light at the end of the tunnel. NO MORE PERIODS :-) Good Luck!

If you want to know more about uterine fibroids and you want to eliminate all the symptoms naturally you must read this great book: http://www.goobypls.com/r/rd.asp?gid=553
Uterine fibroids are a common health concern among a major population of women. Uterine fibroids are benign, non cancerous tumours that originate within the uterus. They are also called fibroid tumors, leiomyomas, or myomas. They are made of the same muscle tissues as the uterus, though they tend to be hardened. This is possibly because uterine fibroids contain higher levels of estrogen than the surrounding uterine tissues. Some uterine fibroids may be so small that they can't be felt even during an internal examination; some may be large enough to make a prominent bulge in your stomach.

No you will not get your period but before you even have the surgery PLEASE call or go in to see the doc again as he sure didn't do a good job of explaining all of this too you. Go back and insist that he take the time to explain every last little detail to you . This is a very important part of his job and he messed up big time in my opinion.
