use a fairly inexpensive mic that plugs into my computer and then I edit using a studio software that I have that is really good and I don't need an amp. But when I record my flute into the computer there is sometimes a slight buzzing noise that I can hear on certain notes or just in general in the background. Someone said I should use a "piezo pickup" and I don't know what that is. I just thought I needed a better mic. Has anyone ever done this successfully? I really need to figure out my setup and hopefully not have to spend more than a couple hundred dollars to do it. Please advise. Thank you musicians and audio techies.

A piezo pickup is def the way to go!! They are pickups specificly desighned for use with acoustic instaments. They usually require a pre-amp, but deliver the best sound for a instument that is not equiped for electronic amplification. they are very small and have diferent price ranges.(FYI,, u get what u pay for))

you haven't any longer centred the make or type of digital camera -- they're all distinctive. If it has an IEEE1394 (aka iLink or firewire) connection, then this may well be accessible. The digital camera's instruction manual will inform you.
