I have that crap KT Tunstall song "Suddenly I See" stuck in my head. I have listened to copious amounts of metal in an attempt to oust it, but it is not working. It keeps seeping back in. What do you guys do when faced with a similar dilemma?
I'm leaning towards a ballpoint pen through the ear and into the brain.

I am at work. No ice picks. No sleep. Just this insipid song draining my life force even as I type this while listening to "Master's Apprentices" by Opeth. Perhaps I'll have to download this atrocity to listen to it all the way through.

Sing it in a low voice but loud enough for your co-workers to hear. It'll get the song stuck in their heads, too, so you at least won't be alone in your misery.

Oh god i feel your pain!! I usally just ask people to sing me some other song in the hopes that it will replace the crap song in question. Yesterday I was being tortured by that fricken Hinder song...horrible I tell you. Unfortunately since you've already tried listening to other music and it hasn't helped, you might have to go with the pen through the ear plan.

Sometimes if I listen to the entire song, it makes it go away. Perhaps you should kick back a few shots, listen to it all the way through, and then take a nap.
I've heard this called an "earworm" before.

strange! I surely have that "B-b-b-b-undesirable to the bone" track caught in my head for like 3 days T_T sometimes i in basic terms sing it until it gets out of my head. Or write down the lyrics. OR!!! Get a extra useful track caught in my head. One thats catchy and relaxing like the undesirable to the Bone track is caught in my head, good? So i can attempt to change it with a catchy track that i like. like the subject track to the Andy Milinokis tutor XD

hmm, sleep helps.or distraction. that sucks - happens to me all the time, mostly with commercials. the one that was in the coke commercial "you put the lime in the coaconut and mix it all together"...that plagued me for days. good luck & rock on.
