When did selfishness become the best? I will be honest i am a Kobe Bryant hater, and i always will be. He is in the category with the best in the NBA, and possibly the top i don't know 15 or 20 of all-time, but despite the 3 rings, my big stat comes after Shaq left. He carried the team a little, but not like Jordan ever did, and not like Wade did last year.
To be the best you have to step up when the season is on the brink, when the game gets down the final heart beat, and for me it was last year when he score 1 point in the second half against the Mavs to get eliminated. Big players do big things in big situations, that was his chance to silence all and prove he could get the job done w/o Shaq, and he failed the test.

Kobe is just one of the best today but not the greatest. unless he gets past the suns, spurs, mavs & whoever wins the east in the finals.

Of all time? Hmm...I'm going to have to hold off on that one because he has yet to win a ring without Shaq. But I would say he's in the talks for it.
But currently? Yes.

No, he actually isn't. There are some young talents who are better than him. Gilbert Arenas is certainly better, and Monta Ellis will be in a couple of years. I like Tracy McGrady more, he ism ore complete. Plus LeBron James is at Kobe's skill level and is much, much younger.

he is the best scorer in the league but not the best all-around player. Lebron James is. He is a complete player and does not think of the game just about him.
