My left eye did this for nearly 2 weeks there recently, I knew there was nothing wrong with my eyes because I recently went to the opticians. I wasn't aware it could be linked to stress, but even though it's annoying try not to worry too much. I was getting frustrated when it kept happening and like you, i just wanted it to stop. It will stop, in it's own time. I don't know why it happens or what makes it stop, it's just one of those things. x

Think of the 3 S's : Stress, Sleep (lack of) and Stimulants.
The eyelid muscles are very fine and sensitive. Slight changes in the body can allow them to contract spontaneously.
To get rid of the twitch, temporarily avoid all stimulants. These are things such as tea, coffee, chocolate and colas. Some medicines like cold, diet and allergy pills have stimulants also.
Try to get as much sleep as you are accustomed to.
You say you are not stressed but sometimes stress sneaks up on us and we do not realize how stressed we are until we take a break from the routine.

There could be a huge number of reasons some are
Corneal irritation or injury
Stress
Lack of sleep
Fatigue
Prolonged staring or eye strain
Neurological disorders
Possibly Hereditary
If it keeps up for a few days you should see a doctor just to rule out anything major. However I had this and it was nothing and eventually went away.

Try relaxing your eyes by placing a slice of cucumber on them...
YES
I am not kidding... notice there is nothing else I have recommended so DON'T worry about becoming a salad...
BUT if you want to help your complexion go ahead and put Mayonnaise on your face while the cucumbers work on your eyes... LOL
NOPE = not joking...
Peanut Butter is also a great facial mask..
ALL TRUE
I would not kid you one little bit... (smiles)
GOOD LUCK

I'm not being funny but....
I had that for about a week once. My boyfriend was away. When he came back it went away. At the time I thought it was caused by a lack of sex but on more mature reflection it was probably pent up stress that was relieved ... ;)

there are various reasons, some though superstitious, for instance, people say, when u eye twitches, something good or bad is about to happen. Well, it may be caused by stress. sometimes, it just twitches and will stop before u realize it

Touch with gold(like gold ring or a chain). If you work with computer or watch lots of TV, keep blinking every fifteen minutes to hydrate your eyes. Splash water lightly over your eyes to wash them.

Mine happens when there is sunlight glaring into a room that I am in without realising I am looking into the brightness.
Like a window behind a tv or pc you are looking at.
