Agricultural societies developed wealth through farming. The basic level of development. Basically farmer farm and harvest land the sell the finished crop.

Industrial societies develop wealth by changing raw materials into goods. Industry purchases raw materials, then forms them into other products. Do to the complexities of this operation these goods normally fetch a greater price than that of raw materials, or corps. Industrial societes employee more workers and have a greater level of wealth than the agricultural.
