I love that dress...but I do think you need to add black accessories to minimize the white. A black shrug or cardigan, black shoes, black necklace, etc. Honestly, if you wear black with it, no one will notice. Bottom line: if you would be upset if someone wore it to your wedding, just wear something else.

Having seen that lovely little number,I'm torn between screaming "YES,YES,YES,YOU'LL ROCK THE JOINT!!!" and demurring because it has a white background, and only the bride should wear white at a wedding (and you don't want to upstage the bride, such poor form).
Maybe you could get around it by wearing a black lacy wrap,to balance the white part. And don't forget to pull your hair up and wear some sparkly chandelier earrings(look at me ,all excited getting you dressed up for the wedding and haven't even seen you - ah,women!)
Here's hoping you snag your own man at this wedding,I just know you're going to look fabulous!!
KEEP IT REAL!

Well, i think it is better if you consider getting something else. The dress is ok but like others said, only the bride should wear white, the dress you've got might give others wrong impression. If you really don't wanna buy a new dress for financial reason, have you got any thin coats/trench coat that is knee length and light purple/blue color, maybe it can do a cover-up. :)

Traditionally, only the bride wears white. Some people don't take that rule as strictly as others though. I recommend asking the bride if she will allow you to wear it. That way there'll be no hard feelings on the day of the wedding.

I think that would be fine. The only thing you really want to avoid when going to a wedding is a dress that is ALL white. You don't want the bride thinking you are trying to steal her show. ;)
The dress is beautiful. Go for it!

Absolutely, providing it is not a night wedding. Night weddings tend to be a bit more formal, but with a nice pair of black heels and great hair and make-up, you could totally pull it off!

yes, its okay to wear as a guest. ifyou are part of the entourage you better check with the bride and maybe match with the color scheme of the wedding. for sure this dress will not upstage the bride and it will be okay (not rude) because its not a plain white dress.
