I have a 100 ton near coastal, what is the difference between a yacht master and a master,ticket?

100 ton near costal is an American classification, yacht master is British and a much more serious deal.....the Brits actually make people take boats off the dock and drive them around to see if they know what they're doing, as opposed to USCG liscenses that justs ee if you can pass a written test......

and yes I know USCG requiers "sea time" aboard aboat....but it can be as the bartender on the harbor tour boat
