I've heard it said about guns, condoms, parachutes and trumpets. The NRA uses it as their attitude about guns.

That's from the movie AVP. A girl is telling Sanaa Lathan about her gun. Sanaa asks what the point of her bringing a gun is, and she says, "Same principle as a condom. It's better to have one and not need it, than to need one and not have it." Love that movie.

This is when Clarence (Christian Slater) is meeting with Donowitz and his bodyguards find Clarence has a gun. He gives this explanation and is allowed to keep his gun. True Romance....first movie written by Tarantino and one of his best.

there is a line similar to that in True Romance but that's not that line so i don't know. oh i just got it it was Clarence in True Romance.
