I was in the epicenter of the '89 Frisco earthquake.

I have been in a few minor earthquakes, nothing bigger than a 5.7 fortunately. The brother of a friend of mine died in the Marina District during that '89 Loma Prieta quake.

Hurricane Alicia - I was still a kid then so I don't know if it was actually counted as a natural disaster
Tropical Storm Allison - Put Houston underwater because of the nonstop rain
Hurricane Rita - I witnessed the contraflow evacuation on I-10...it was a one way highway...west, out of Houston.

I live in Oklahoma so I've been through a few tornadoes.

yes, just last week most of our state was w/o power b/c of ice storms-there is 10's of thousands still w/o power
