Does WPA have to be like 26 characters long? Is it still numbers and upper and lower case letters?

The difference between the protocols is WPA is inherently flawed and WPA was created, in part, to deal with that flaw - primarily by using TKIP.

WEP had issues with the key needing to be exactly as many characters as the key length but WPA doesn't require that. I believe it can be between 8 and 63 characters.

Here is a link mentioning the features of WPA: http://www.quepublishing.com/articles/article.asp?p=421706&rl=1
