neither - humans are born neither good nor bad. We become good or bad by the measure of our society. And societies each have their own interpretation of good and bad.

Humans, as animals, are born with their brains hard-wired to survive. Sometimes, the behaviors that arise out of these survival instincts seem like innate evil (a priori evil). That is, you might kill someone to ensure that you have more food. However, other than the hard-wired instincts to survive, procreate, and stay safe, evil really is a socially induced concept.
I offer the following example. Go to a park and watch a group of three year olds play. These children exhibit the pure joy of being. A jungle gym becomes a dinosaur, a swing an space ship a sandbox the universe. However, as these grow older, some will retain this joy while others will have it wrung out of them by hateful parents or hurtful peers who exploit weaknesses. It is this hate and maliciousness that breeds fear and fear is the foundation for hate and hate, well it is the foundation for evil (Hitler feared the Jews until he hated them and then he committed genocide against the Jews, an act of evil).
So humans are born basically good but have a great capacity to be turned evil.

I think all men have the capacity for good and evil. It's just a difference of degree. Some let one or the other dominate entirely. It's still a choice. It is an individual's responsibility if they are evil. They can't blame society. No matter what happens in life they still choose how they react to it. You must be accountable for your actions. You can't blame someone else.
Be cautious with everyone. I have seen things that have left me somewhat cynical & suspicious of those I don't know. But there are still good people out there.
Society itself isn't evil, it can just be overrun with evil men sometimes...

I feel that man (as in mankind,) is genuinely good and yet cannot help to be flawed.. The flaws of man kind or human nature is what causes man to have a negative impact on various situations and events.

Good and evil are relative concepts. For every good done and evil occurs. It's all in the POV.
