They claim to want to be treated as equal's but obviously they don't. I look around and there's an all black channel, all black scholarships, all black clubs, a black history month, they even want to be called african americans instead of just american. I don't get how black people can say they want to be equal when they obviously want special treatment and to be different. I don't think people should try to force people to treat black's ( and all race's for that matter) the same because they are not. In the eyes of the law they are, but there are obvious culture differences between American's of european dissent and african. Lets say there was a white american scholarship. That would never be allowed and anyone who supported it would be called a racist. That would be a racist thing, all black scholarships are racist, by having them that proves blacks actually don't want to be treated the same. I thnk they milk the whole slavery thing and whites cave in.

when I say black people milk the whole slavery thing I mean that no U.S. citizen alive today ever was a slave or owned a slave. It is time to get over that because what happened in the past no one alive today did. We can look back in disgust of what our ancestors did to black people and black people can look back and hate those white people who enslaved thier ancestors but no one alive today is to blame. Black people need to stop blaming white people for all thier problems and for being enslaved. White people need to stop feeling guilty and giving into the game for fear of being labeled racist. As soon as the last person from the day black people were granted full rights in this country dies, the game officiial is over for good and there really should be no more bullshit. There already shouldn't be but there is.

and your right, i am jelous that black people have thier own month, own channel and all the other things I listed. White people should not have any of those either, no specific ethnic group should and the people who think one does are a problem.

Yes, they want better treatment and complain too much. Everybody today is a descendant of a slave at one time. Each culture in hisotry has oppressed another culture. For example, I am part Scottish and Irish. I could blame everything on the English and Vikings because they both enslaved and killed off my people, but I choose not to, as it is useless, and those events happened 100's of years ago. We didn't enslave the Blacks, our ancestors did, and no Black living tosay in the US was enslaved.

You need a real reality check. You think our gov't goes around saying really love black people! I dont think so! We need BET because after the civil rights and 70's black people needed achannel dedicated to them to call their own. Since not every radio station or music channel wanted to hear hip-hop. We need the ***** college fund due to the fact that as a black person you know just how hard it is to be looked down upon and discouraged. And their are only probably like 1 out of 40 black families probably that can afford a good college education. And you say if we gave all of this up we would be equal to white people, as if we have a disadvantage against you guys! Get Outta Here!

As an African American I do agree with some of what you are saying. I do not believe in Double standards of any kind because they are unfair. But lets face it our country, America, has been an unfair country since it's beginning. We shouldn't have to have double standards but in reality it's the only way that people can sometimes prosper themselves. White people, who are still the majority in this country need to admit their faults when it comes to the elitist attitudes that they have held for quite a long time now and deal with the fact that many of them still carry this attitude of previlige and pride and arrogance that somehow they are the best ethnic group...it is still quite prevelant throughout businesses, the judicial system, entertaintment, media, education, ect... When white people began to really look at themselves and how they help create all of this rascist mess, when their ancestors introduced slavery to America, then we can make real change and have real dialogue about this very complicated issue of black vs. white. This has been my prayer for a long time. I want racial reconciliation in our country, but people both black and white need to take a hard look at themselves and figure out how they as individuals are contributing to the problem rather than finding solutions. Then and only then will double standards not be necessary.

There is scholarships designed for homeless, special majors. age groups, gender, military status, single parents, athletes...so should these groups be abolished too, or just the one for black people? All black clubs, are you referring to the NAACP that has people of various backgrounds on the board??? Black History Month, one month 28-29 days to celebrate someone elses culture??? During the month of February, other history is being taught also. Just for that one month, black history is a part of it also. I am still trying to understand that African American thing. I am a vet, I have traveled to over six different countries and 29 states within the United States, but all the black people that I have met, are happy being addressed by thier name or sir or m'am. Now look around, flip through your channels and look at the majority of the shows and channels, do more of the people look like you or look like me? I think that you are grasping at straws here. The biggest scholarship for black people is the UNCF. Do you realize how difficult that scholarship is to get. I had a 3.8GPA and still could not get it. To make your argument valid, you have to say that ANY scholarship that caters to ANY group sets them apart and that they should be abolished. People with disabilities, veterans, women, athletes, scholarships for doctors, certain age brackets, single parents, homeless, foster children, 9-11 families, blind, deaf, academic excellence, community scholarships, local scholarships, and the list goes on and on!!!

BS. First off you can't just "milk" the whole slavery thing. And it wasn't just then it's now to, white people still think they rule this world. My uncle was arrested by white cops after evidence proved it wasn't him and another man (white) confessed to it.but they wouldn't put that man in prison for years now would they? And he stood before an all white jury and a white judge! And the reason for all the black clubs you idiot is because ya'll wouldn't let us in ya'lls. Most of these scholarship programs and clubs you are talking about go way back when ya'll thought ya'll were to good to share anything with black people. And most of you still do!And there would be no resaon for black history mont or native american month if ya'll wouldn't have made us slaves and had segregation. Then there would be no reason to celebrate finally being free now would there. But we can now.

Firstly you are sooooo not in tune with the world you are living in

Look at the brutal past African Americans had to go through, and thank your lucky stars that they are no Black Klu Klux Klan! Maybe you're a decendant from the Klan. I hope you either grow up and smell the roses cause white people have their own stuff as well. Maybe youre jealous of the African Americans, since they have come such a long way, and are actually quite popular in all facets in the society - music, food, media, etc

Black people perpetuate the problems in our community today, no question. But Europeans created the problems in our community yesterday. Even though Europeans created them, it will be up to Black people to fix our own problems but it has to be a collective effort to really be effective.

Yes, we are the blame for standing up and fighting for our rights.
yes, we are the blame for the USA being financially solid.
yes, we are the blame for white people being far richer by far, so far.
We are the blame for not discovering China first, getting fireworks, changing it into gun powder and making guns.
yeah we're the blame for not being prepared back in the 1500's.
put it all on our backs we can handle it, we did it before, we're doing it now. Yeah boy put it all on the blacks.
