I was playing a game last night and my computer froze...I rebooted several times and couldnt make it past the windows xp loading screen. Then after about the 3rd reboot I get a black mark on the corner of the screen and a mostly white screen with some blue lines...it does look like the screen is broken...but I never touched the screen...and there is no physical damage on the outside of the screen...what else could it be? or is my screen broken?

It may just be your hard drive that's at fault. If XP fails to fully load, then I'd bet that that's the problem. Hard drives can fail at any time, and the fact that your seeing something weird on the screen might just mean that your drivers haven't loaded. Try this: Turn your laptop on, and watch the drive light. If it stops when your screen goes dark, that's your problem.

Sounds like it could be the LCD inverter. Possibly the Video Adapter as well.

Really the only way to know for sure would be to take it in somewhere. If it is still under warranty it should cover the issue.
