i bought a big pack of 50 with 10 pg tests for £12 off ebay! been ttc for 5 months but have really long cycles so decided to use them to see if i was ovulating, as i have no idea when i ovulate i started testing on day 10, at day 22 now and still no +, however my cycles seem to be 45 - 50 days long so still plenty of time. apparently they work fine for most women as long as you know how to use them, eg unlike pg tests you should NOT use your first mornings pee, test around 6pm and hold your pee for as long as poss to encourage a more accurate result, also test at the same time each day.
alternatively temping is free once youve bought the thermometer, not tried this technique yet, you could do both at the same time if you wanted.

OPKs are okay, especially if you're charting and you know when to use them. However, OPKs can somtimes give "false postives" when a woman has an LH surge but ends up not ovulating at that time. An if a woman has long and/or irregular cycles, it can be very expensive.
I highly recommend charting your fertility signs. Your chart can tell you when you are fertile, when you are not, when you are ovulating, when to expect your next period, and when to suspect pregnancy. Your chart can also tell you if there are issues delaying conception or causing difficulty w/ carrying a pregnancy and if there are serious issues which need a doc's attention.
Some good sources for charting your fertility signs: Fertilityfriend.com (free software as well as a pay-for version and on-line charting turorial); ovusoft.com (discussion boards for many fertility related issues, much info on fertility after the pill, and a very good software for purchase). The books Taking Charge of Your Fertility (associated w/ the the ovusoft website and software), The Art of Natural Family Planning, and Garden of Fertility

I have somewhat irregular cycles and generally use 12-14 sticks per cycle. But you need to find one that works well for you before you go and buy a huge quantity. The clearblue has been rated #1 by consumer reports and most Reproductive Endocrinologists recommend it. Using the sticks alone may not be very benefical so you should consider charting your BBT in addition to the sticks.

YES!! buy a few packs - you get 7 sticks in a pack and will need 1 a day so if you're irregular then you might need to do it for a while (or for a very short time also). I used them and became pregnant the first time i used them. I now have a beautiful 8 month old daughter Eva.
they're not cheap but are well well worth it!!

I bought 20 cheapies off internet for about a tenner and, like you, dont know how long my cycle is now Ive come off pill (when on pill of course it is regular as clockwork). i used them on my first cycle from Day 8 (8 days after period started) until Day 20 !! as I never got a + even though my cervical mucuas pattern was accurate according to the menstrual cycle - still got negatives the days before it went like egg white slime! So i'm confused - either I'm doing something wrong or they don't always work for everyone - maybe someone else might confirm this????????? So I've given up on them. I'm too impatient anyway as are most women when they start TTC!! But like everyone suggests you should maybe start charting and checking CM aswell to give you a good indication of when youre OV.

I used them and thought they were a waste of money. I think it is better to chart your cycle so you know how long your cycle is. Take your temp every morning before you get up and mark it on a chart. Do this every morning starting on the day of your period until your next period. You will see a pattern. And from that pattern you will be able to tell when you ovulated. Get the book Taking charge of your fertility and it will explain it all. Save your money and just become more educated in your own body signals.

your cycle is counted as day 1 of your period till the day before you start again that would be the # of days your cycle is,and yes the ovulation sticks would tell you when you are ovulating.as far as how many no 1 can tell you that it could be 5-10 a month good luck

I would chart your bbt for a couple of cycles first. This will give you an idea of roughly when you ovulate . You need to buy a special thermometer which is resusable. check your cervical fluid aswell as these are your primary fertiliy signs.
Ov sticks are an extra thing that you can use but certain medicines can affect them and give wrong readings.

i be responsive to what you advise chick! I bumped into the comparable undertaking final cycle yet gave up utilising them and in simple terms babydanced the different day in the tip. that element, i did no longer finally end up ovulating till CD50 odd! (I chart my BBT too to be advantageous). i could the two take the comparable stance and proceed to BD daily or so now or order some in rapid! i take advantage of those from ebay, the internet try strips, and that they have got continuously given me outcomes so do no longer provide up on them in simple terms yet! in the event that they arrive in time, great :-) If no longer, you may desire to continuously use them yet another cycle if choose be. with a bit of luck you will no longer could desire to however and capture it this month! undergo in strategies that ovulation prediction websites are a gadget to apply, yet are not very stable (in my opinion). they have an inclination to offer "one length suits all" information and dates, the place we are all diverse and from time to time ovulate later or till now they are waiting for for an form of reasons. I strongly propose Basal temperature charting as yet an alternate determination in destiny cycles. in case you are trying this collectively with the o.ok., you will choose an stunning load of information to artwork with. I easily have had extremely long cycles so some distance, and function examined from CD12 onwards daily when you consider that TTC. If I see a "practically advantageous" consequence, then I repeat the try in some extra hours (I take the 1st at 2-4pm). stable success to you too! ****

Penny stocks are loosely categorized companies with share prices of below $5 and with market caps of under $200 million. They are sometimes referred to as "the slot machines of the equity market" because of the money involved. There may be a good place for penny stocks in the portfolio of an experienced, advanced investor, however, if you follow this guide you will learn the most efficient strategies https://tr.im/e3f14
