Good question. If your lucky enough to have the apple seeds sprout, then you should see them push out of the soil in about two to three weeks. To get to the size necessary for fruit production will take approximately five years. Me and my brother did this a long time ago with orange seeds.

Below is a link with some sugestions on being successful in the future at growing apple trees from seeds, if you ever want to try it again. Good luck with them! The world could use a few more good trees.

Your chances of growing apple trees with editable fruit from seed may be rather slim to none. But it could work for you. Give it a try and after a few weeks of warm sunny weather, you might get a sprout.

If you do get a sprout, it might produce flowers in a couple of years and you may be lucky enough to get fruit you can eat.

All in all, if you want to have success and be able to eat the fruit, buy and plant a two or three year old tree from an established supplier.

Yes, you can grow apple trees from seeds, and yes they can produce apples, (but may not taste the same as the apple you planted since it was likely a hybrid). Patience...alot of it...is what you will need. Start with sprouting the seeds in a moistened paper towel sealed inside a plastic bag in your refigerator, (this will take about 6 months.) Then plant the sprouts in a pot first with lots of room for roots to take hold. It may take up to two years for it to be strong enough to live outside and survive a cold winter. And a word to the wise, plant more than one. You'll need it for pollination purposes. I was told long ago there are even male and female varieties of some types of apples...Don't know if that is really true, but just in case...
Good luck. I hope it works out for you.
Mine grew about 8ft tall and was beginning to really produce...until my son hit it with the car!!!! The apples were small and a bit tart, but tastey

your soo funny. i suggest you go and buy a baby tree from a nursery.

but they usually take a very long time to grow big, and if your growing it from a seed, its most likely to fail. sorry. i tried it many times when i was young.
