No, I don't think that it is funny. Video Games have evolved to be more pleasing to adults (this can probably be attributed to the fact that the people who were buying nes's are now pretty much adults and may even have their own families.) There's not any problem with an adult enjoying video games. he might want to cut down and spend more time with his family, though, if he plays four hours a day.

Of course not lots of adults play video games including senior citizens its good for cooling the brain down from a hard day at work. It keeps the mind working on things that are fun.
Adults are allowed to have fun they earned it!
::adult who plays, Animal Crossing, Brain Age, Club House and beat the Legend of Zelda when she was over 30 :-P

its not weird as the average age of a video game player is now about 29. it is kind of funny though, because you would expect the kids to be the ones spending time with the games.

Not funny. I hate it when adults do this. Games are for kids who don't have any responsibilities. If it bothers you that your dad is playing video games, and not spending time with you, then tell him! Although, most video game junkies won't break the habit at first. It takes some time to ween off any addiction. And yes it's an addiction and it's interfering with your father/child relationship.
I DON'T APPROVE OF WHAT HE IS DOING!!!!!!

thank goodness we all still (or should) have that child inside of us! it keeps us young.
it is much better than him going out every night.
those games are addictive.
it is a shame he enjoys them more than his family...maybe the family should talk to him and find out why he enjoys them more than being with family members.
maybe the family members should make some changes too and re-discover the child inside of them too.
either way, the subject needs to be talked about with your father.

be cool...

NO, I think it's irresponsible though.
We're supposed to know that only kids are allowed to be addicted to things that do society no good.
We have laws that lock kids up in school, away from the farms, and the work they used to do, to actaulyl contribute and appreciate labor.
And now this.

No i dont think he is.He's just a cool dad who keeps up with things even though it;s not for his age.But hey, there's a kid in everyone and probably it's just his way of entertainment.Let him play,or even better, just join him.and you'll know he's the coolest dad u ever had!share and teach him cheats etc..and u just made yourself a friend! Many people would want a father like yours.it's just so better than the regular dad..

Video games should be for fun in your spare time, you should make your family more important, that is weird.
