I drove this route to see the Dolphins play the Colts on New Years Eve. It took about 13 hours, but I drove through horrible rain, so it will probably take you less
I-30 through Little Rock
I-40 East towards Memphis
I-55 North
I-57 North
I-70 East
BTW - dont get gas in Illinois, it was like 25-30 cents higher than anywhere else along the trip.

I-30 East to I-40 E in Arkansas. I 40 to 55N to Effingham. IL. I-70 East to Indianapolis. This is the most direct route-I've driven it many, many times.

I have done this drive several ways. We have taken the "crow flies" route and it was pretty slow. We found the best way is to go straight south to Nashville and then cut across through Little Rock, Texarkana and into Dallas. It's freeway all the way.

I would go up 35 to OK City, then jump on 44 to St. Louis, then you are only 4 hours away on I-70.
It can be done in a day if you start early and drive late.
Have done the OKC to Indy part a million times.

Greatlake is almost right. I-30 to Little Rock, then I-40 to I-55, then north to I-57 to I-70. Driven it and its pretty good. He missed I-57.

Use the freeways, There are to many fences and rivers to cross if you offroad.
