You can get the book, A Pocket Style Manual by Diane Hacker. I don't know any shortcuts but this guide gives really good ex. of of APA for many different sources that you might use. I don't know the price, I got it a few years ago. You can look online, you will need the ISBN # 0-312-20488-4. Good luck APA is a pain

Yes, you can use website call the quotation machine. I considered that it is not that important to memorize all the APA rules but it will be good to have a working knowledge of it because even when you use the Internet formatting software, the software doesn't do everything for you, you still need to format the resulting string in your document and place the citation in your paragraphs.
