i usually don't cover it because covering it will make it worse. so what i do is i use foam wash to clean my face and i put a chilled tea bag on the spots for 5 minutes. then i will have a quick mask (body shop~ green tea facial products) for 10 mins. that line is really good for blemishes and spots. then toner and just a little light cream. don't put too much. the blemish should look better then before you put on your make up.

Nothing is working? What did you try? I'm a makeup artist and when I need to cover blemishes I use following techniques. Before applying foundation I apply green concealer. If blemishes are big I also apply blue concealer on the spots directly (this is used for professional photography or movies). Then comes applying foundation..... In the end I also used pressed powder foundation. When I do all this blemishes are covered pretty well.
You can visit my gallery and see the proof how can they be covered. I have photos of girls and also details explained how I did the makeup, worth a look:

try using a cover up stick and covering the spots and then when you put on your foundation use a makeup pad not your fingers and blot on your makeup especially around the problem areas if you rub it makes the cover up smear and removes it from the area make sure you are using a good foundation cover girl is what i use but i have also hear that bare minerals is good for problem skin and blemishes. hope this helps.

I would concentrate first on clearing up your skin. Makeup to conceal them is counterproductive, makes blemishes worse. Try Mary Kay or Proactive.
Whatever you do, let your skin breathe, keep it clean and exfoliated, and use medicated products to kill the germs that are causing the pimples. And replace makeup items frequently.
