Whats your view on the muslim people?

Just wanted to no what people really think of the muslim people and the muslim community.

My view is...they're people...just like us. They have their views...and we have ours. The "bad" people that we see in the news or the ones we think is "bad" are the extremist.. they go way overboard with not getting along with everybody. But that's just my opinion. I love everybody. =)

I think of them as people, just like I would with any other religion. It's wrong to base an opinion on a culture, like so many people are doing with the Muslim community. Just because there are Islamic terrorists out there doesn't mean that all Muslim people are like that. Ask yourself if there will ever be any peace if people are continuously dogging the Muslim community just because of the terrorism going on.

I don't know any bad muslims, the few I do know are quite nice average folks, going about thier lives trying to earn a few dollars and survive.

Muslim extremists make me nervous, the same way kamikaze pilots must have made sailors in WW2 nervous. There's something disturbing about human beings that don't care about dying. But this holds true for any extremist person, regardless of religion or nationality.

Muslims have a lot to be proud of, throughout history they have given a lot to enrich mankind. I hope that the efforts of a few bad seeds (like Al qaeda) and the paranoid rantings of a few christian radicals (like the christian far-right) don't make us forget that....

Muslim people are same as non-Muslim people. They are not allowed to drink alcohol, to tell lies, to be physically dirty, to break promises, to indulge adultery, gamble, etc. Seems to be good people. Most of the religion teach almost the same. However most of the present Muslims do not practise the religion in their daily life. Many so-called religious leaders exploit the religion. History tells that most of the wars were fought in the name of religion.

They are people like you and me. Most of them want to be left to live their lives in peace. The Muslim religion is very close to Christianity in most ways and they normally have no quarrel with Christians.

Like in any religion, there are fanatics who claim religion as their excuse for mindless violence and hatred. But that is not the teachings of either Christian or Muslim faith.

They are just like everyone else. Their are some who are more outspoken and violent but that's not all of them. You cant take one or even a hindered bad apples and say that's how all of them are. I can remember a time when the god fairing gentleman's wore clocks burnt crosses and said they were doing it for the right reasons, in every culture and every religion there are some violent things that go down. You can not lump all of them together.

Just what are you asking? That's like asking what is your view on the Presbyterian community or the Buddhist community....or the Catholic community or Catholic people.

They are people like other people - granted with a different religion and different mores, but essentially just like other humans - they have to eat to stay alive; work for a living; go to the bathroom; raise their children.....etc etc etc...and like most , within their so-called ranks are bad apples....just like 'us'

Just like every other religious group, there are a few wackos among them. For the most part, I find them to be unassuming, hard working people who prefer to stay out of the lime light.
