What in the heck is a pencil skirt? If you ask me I would say it's from the 50's cuz i haven't heard of a dang pencil skirt. Don't wear skirts unless it's your religion. Put you on some pants and go on.

Yes I did. I don't wear mine to the knee or longer. I'm only 5'2 and I wear my skirts shorter(unless it's really cold out, then I pull out the ankle length corduroys). The one I wore today was not a "true" pencil, it had a vent in the front and in the back(they are usually just in the back)... but was very slim through the body.

My *** is too big for a pencil skirt, but they look great on the right shape.
My mother and her friends used to wear them in the fifties; they got the look right, with peep-toe shoes etc. My mom was a big lady, but it didn't stop her wearing a pencil skirt. the skirts were just cut very well. The really tight ones were called hobble skirts; you couldn't walk in them, so you had to hobble!!

Actually pencil skirts have always been around, but they're coming back in style with high-waists:

They're very sexy, yet professional. However, usually only people with a slender body can pull them off. You also have to make sure that it hits you right at or below the knee. Otherwise it can make you look heavier than you are.
But to answer the question, I don't wear them because I have short legs and they don't flatter me.

Not at work today, but I am now wearing a knee-length brown satin pencil skirt. Although it is tight fitting, it is not the tightest of my skirts.

Let us hope that anyone who is wearing one is thin enought to pull it off, they are not made for everyone, even though they make them in larger sizes. They are just not flattering on everyone and they are big on the style scene this year
