why does about 70% of non emo girls like emo boys, even if the majority would not confess ?

HA! Yeah...maybe if you live in RI or OH. I've never liked Emo boys or guys. I like guys that are men, not sexually confused little boys failing miserably at what they're trying to make of themselves. And I'm not Emo. I guess I'm that small majority that will confess...to what I know, because I'm not pathetic.
Seriously, what DO they have to be so sad about? "Mommy doesn't love me anymore because I wear make-up now"? I'm sick of these little dillweeds running around nowadays saying they're so depressed and they want to die. They make such a bad name for people that are really clinically depressed because of IMPERFECTION, not because of a new gay fad!
I'd also like to make it clear that I am married to a guy who is in no way shape or form Emo and who hates Emo as well. But you know what's so funny about that? Even though he's not Emo, he still knows when I'm feeling low. Why? BECAUSE HE'S A HUMAN! All humans feel emotion and can pick up on feelings in others, unless they're Autistic. Being Emo doesn't make a person more in tune with feelings, it makes them sappy. And what does sappy say about a person other than they do not know how to handle themselves! Open your eyes, to the rest of you little girls that posted in this question. It's called being a human. And the only reason you like the Emo boys is because Dashboard and My Chemical Romance told you to do so.

Take this from a male teen who isn't into emo. I personally think that most emo boys are pretty fugly. How can u stand having that bang in your eye all day? I recgonize this as a trend which will blow over soon. i don't dress emo and strangely get looks from older girls.

honestly I don't have much interest in them although they tend to like me a lot...my guess for why other girls like them so much is b/c emo guys are very in touch with their emotions and are more sensitive, understanding, and compassionate than non-emo guys. Emo guys don't try so hard to be masculine like a lot of non-emo guys do, and as a girl I'll admit that's a turn-on.

1. Girls say they like "sensitive guys" (lie)
2. Guy finds out, so he listens to ***** emo music and dresses like a dork so chicks will see that he is sensitive and not afraid to express himself (lie). He dyes his hair black, wraps himself in a stupid looking scarf, develops an eating disorder, and rants about how "nobody understands".
3. Now an emo guy, he meets Emo chick and they start dating, talking about how their well-off suburban lifestyles are terrible and depressing (lie)
4. Emo guy is just too much of a dweeb. His penis is too small, he's too depressed to bathe, and has more mood swings than emo chick, and he doesn't even have a menstrual cycle. Emo chick dumps him, saying "It's not you, it's me." (lie) as she drives off with Wayne, the school jock and captain of the football team.
5. Emo guy goes home and cries, proceeds to write a weak song and strum a single string on his acoustic guitar. Another emo chick sees how he is so in touch with his feelings, and the cycle continues.
This is the sad truth of the emo lifestyle/music, and now that I look at how pathetic it really is, maybe the emos DO have something to cry about!
girlfriend: C'mon, lets have sex.
boyfriend: I'm too sad to have sex.
girlfriend: I'm sad too; lets have sex and cry.
boyfriend: I'm already crying.

Oh I'm sorry, I didn't know a poll was taken of the entire population if they like emo boys. I never voted... shoot. Where are you getting your stats? I'm going to take a shot in the dark and say that you're in High School? Trust me, out here, in the real world, 70% of us don't like emos... actaully 99.9% of us don't care if you're emo or not and 68% of us don't even know exactly what emo is... take those stats...
