What is a clipper anyway?
A fingernail clipper? Hedge Clippers? Clipping like the penalty in american football? Sorry, but none of those sound fierce or even respectable.
The Los Angeles Clippers always have been and always will be a joke to me. They are the forgotten red-headed stepchild of LA's professional sports scene.

I do. The clippers have always been a joke. Last year was the fluke, not this year. They will be back in the lottery again. With as many lottery picks as they have had over the years you would think they would have had some more good seasons. The only expanation I can think of is that they are the clippers.

Clippers, a joke? No way with all that talent. A mediocre team? Yes. Disappointing? Yes.
Frankly, if you are going to consider LA's best team last year a joke then you must also consider the Nuggets a joke too. Talk about having high expectations for Brand, Maggette, Cassel and Livingston, how about a lineup with Iverson, Melo, JR and Camby? I don't know whos more disappointing...and the Nets..VC and Kidd and RJ? These teams just raise a "?".

They have problems, for sure. Brand hasn't lived up to last year's season, Livingston wasn't living up to expectations, and then he blows out his knee. Cassell is aging and Kaman just hasn't come close to where I thought he'd be this season. He's really struggled this year. Maggette should be starting and I'm not sure what he has to do to get the starting job. Joke of the entire league? Not sure about that. Boston and Memphis are even bigger jokes.

A Clipper is a small sailing boat, no?
And yes, they aren't exactly what they were last year, but still a playoff contender. Losing Livingston of course won't be much help.
