I recently graduated from a business course, and the teacher said her discription of me was that I was the classroom guru, and that she has one in every class. I stay to myself, in my own little space all the time, and it seems that the more I do that, the more popular I become, and the more attention I get, especially from women.

A guru is someone whom knows their skill and can work with it perfectly, more or less a mentor.

It means you are very smart and know alot about the subjects she is discussing.
